Bio

My name is Mike Thomas and I was born in Greensboro, North Carolina. In third grade I moved to New York with my family and have not left since. A big part of my life has been sports, which I have shown much success in throughout my many years of participation. When I was 7 years old, I was on my first undefeated AAU baseball team. At age 10, my baseball team won the 9-10 year old Williamsport Little League Championship. As I grew older, I gained my new hobby of running, where I was nominated to various All-League, All-Section, and All-State honors in both Cross Country and Track. Continuing my success here at Siena, I ran for our D1 Saints for 4 years on their Cross Country team while studying Accounting. I have an older brother who is currently getting his Masters in Engineering at Virginia Tech and my two parents, Bob and Carol.

Goals

After receiving my undergraduate degree in Accounting and my minor in Information Systems, I plan on continuing my studies for at least one more year here at Siena to obtain my Masters in Accounting. Currently interning at GE Corporate in their State and Local Tax department, and starting my work at KPMG come the Summer, my plan as of now is to be able to go international working on various American accounts overseas. Hopefully, with that experience will come great leadership and knowledge in my field, and will help guide me to a future of success and happiness.
