Biography

I was born on August 27, 1992 in White Plains, NY and grew up in Sleepy Hollow, a small village in Westchester, NY. My parents were both born in the Dominican Republic and even though I have never traveled there myself I would consider myself Dominican. I have three sisters that I am very close too and would consider my best friends. I am now a senior ready to graduate in May 2014. I am very passionate about human rights and non-violence particularly against women and it seen through the activities I partake in at Siena. Some of these activities include the Education Club, the Peer Education and Empowerment Program at Siena, Best Buddies, and work with the Siena Transition Program.

Goals

Academically I would love to graduate college on the right track ready for what the real world has to offer. I plan on continuing on and completing my masters in a field of education down the line. If I do not go straight to graduate school after my undergraduate school is complete I will jump right into the field. In the future, I would my dream job is to work in a high needs school, preferably at the middle school level, working with other professionals who are just as passionate and motivated as I am.
